︎BIOGRAPHY
Gavin Yap is a Malaysian actor/writer/theatre director and filmmaker. His feature directorial debut, TAKE ME TO DINNER, was released in Malaysian cinemas in 2014. His next directorial effort, THE INCREDIBLY STRANGE TALE OF THE MAN WHO LOST HIS LOVE BUT BOUGHT IT BACK WITH A PACKET OF DUCK RICE (short film) picked up the Blencong Award at the 2015 Jogja-Netpac International Film Festival, and can now be seen on Doghouse73 Pictures’ YouTube Channel. His sophomore feature, KL24: ZOMBIES, was released on YouTube in 2017, and has since garnered over 2 million views. He co-directed REVENGE OF THE PONTIANAK, which was released in Singapore and across Malaysia in 2019, and is now streaming on Netflix globally.
